On the occasion of The Italian Glass Weeks 2022 Caterina Tognon Arte Contemporanea is glad to present the works by the artist Lilla Tabasso in a widespread exhibition that will take place in four different historical locations in the city of Venice. You can admire the floral compositions in glass, worked with the lampwork technique, by the Milanese artist at the Hotel Bauer Palazzo, a historic hotel in the city a few steps from Piazza San Marco and at the Ca 'Pisani Deco Design Hotel, the first Design Hotel in Venice, between the Accademia Galleries and the Fondamenta of Zattere. The path continues also at Vino Vero an exclusive wine bar in Fondamenta of the Misericordia in Cannaregio and at the Caterina Tognon Arte Contemporanea gallery, a historic gallery in Venice dedicated to contemporary glass.


Tabasso’s works are characterized by an incredible realism that draw from nature an infinite palette of colors, limpid shades and also – fundamental for the artist – mutations and imperfections: dry branches, faded flowers and wilting leaves. These mainly refer to the concept of “Vanitas”, used in Art History for the transience of earthly life, and the inexorable passage of time.
