SLEEVES

Concurrently with the exhibition “Paolo Venini e la sua fornace” at Le Stanze del Vetro, on the island of San Giorgio (Venice), Caterina Tognon is pleased to present Sleeves, a series of new works by Laura de Santillana.
Sleeves is a project which is born from the artist’s long term research on colour and from her passion for traditional Japanese culture. 
This new series of blown-glass works, her preferred medium, produced first in Murano and then in Bohemia, is here shown for the first time in Venice.
In her Sleeves, the colours, fused in layers, overlap with one another and combine again through the light creating a new and unique chromatic reality.
