Vetri: esperienze al CIRVA
The second International Biennale of artistic glass, Venezia Aperto Vetro, was held in Venice from 16 October 1998 to 16 January 1999, at: Palazzo Ducale, Museo Fortuny, Istituto Statale d'Arte, Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, Centro Studio Vetro (Murano).
This year's event was titled Homage to Venice, a tribute to the very rich technical language of Venetian glass that has exerted a profound influence on contemporary glass artists all over the world.
As part of Venezia Aperto Vetro, the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation decided to pay homage to Gaetano Pesce by presenting an exhibition curated by Luca Massimo Barbero e Daniela Ferretti that comprised a series of creations by the well-known Italian designer realized between 1988 and 1992 at the C.I.R.V.A. – the Centre International de Recherche sur le Verre et les Arts plastiques, in Marseille.
