BERTOZZI & CASONI. Le porte regali
The work Le porte regali (2021, bronze and porcelain, h. 240 x 200 x 170 cm) represents a peach tree in bloom with its roots pointing to the sky.
The tree is a metaphor for human being, while the overturning indicates the orientation towards spiritual nourishment, as indicated by the philosopher Pavel Florensky in his essay "The Royal Doors".
In this work Bertozzi&Casoni's thoughts went to the constraints of earthly life – where diseases, pains, injustices and misunderstandings of all kinds seem to find no possibility of resolution.
This installation ideally intends to create a short circuit, a liberating pause that leads us to consider the good part of man, that of acceptance and love that moves all things positively.
Opening hours during the philosophy festival:
Friday 17 September 10 am - 9 pm
Saturday 18 September 10 am - 9 pm
Sunday 19 September 10 am - 8 pm
The work will remain on display at the Bertozzi & Casoni Museum until October 17, 2021 Saturday and Sunday, 3 pm - 7.30 pm.
